Christmas Tag Swap 2017

These tags are for a tag swap on Swap-Bot.  We had to make 3 tags and they had to be no smaller than 2 x 4.

All these tags are inspired by the beautiful work of Jill Norwood a/k/a Greenwood Girl.

Each tag was cut with the Cricut Explore Air 2.

The first tag is a candy cane and it is 5 inches tall.    I cut the base 3 times with manila cardstock for stability.  The paper is all glitter paper.  I used a white gel pen to add stitching to the green holly leaves.  I didn't think it would work at first but it did.  I used little red pom poms for the berries.
Added a smaller tag that says "Candy Cane Kisses."  The Cricut Explore Air 2 cut the small tag and provided the writing on it.

The second tag is a coffee, hot chocolate, tea, etc. cup and it is also 5 inches tall.    I cut the base 3 times with manila cardstock for stability.  The paper scraps from my stash.  I  used a white gel pen to add stitching.  Added a smaller tag that says "Christmas Hugs."  The Cricut Explore Air 2 cut the small tag and provided the writing on it.

The last  tag is a star and is 5 x 5.   The paper is sturdy glitter paper.  I  added silver Stickles for more sparkle.  Added a smaller tag that says "Silent Night."  The Cricut Explore Air 2 cut the small tag and provided the writing on it.

Halloween Cards

More Halloween cards during our downtime with Hurricane Irma.

These were made with Echo Park's Hallwoeen by Alish Whitcomb collection.  Love this collection.  It is so fun and whimsical.  It came with cardstock, cut-aparts and stickers.  I used doilies, buttons, glitter and buttons from my stash for embellishments.

Halloween Cards/Hurricane Irma Crafting

During our down time during Hurricane Irma I worked on some Halloween cards for a swap.

This is from Graphic 45's Rare Oddities collection.  I didn't want to do too much to the card as the paper is so beautiful it speaks for itself.

This is from the 2016 Recollections Ravenshead Manor collection.  After the week we had, I really needed a cocktail.

This is also from the 2016 Recollections Ravenshead Manor collection.  I fussy cut one of the cut-aparts and glued it to a doily.

Birthday Card for my Mom

 I love the UK papercrafting magazines.  This was made with the free stamp set from Papercraft Essensentials.

It is a 6 X 6 card.  I stamped the background paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade and Firebrick Red.  The sunflower and planter are colored with Copic Markers and glittery gel pens.  Added a little bling and flat back pearls from my stash.

Christmas in July #2 Embossed Tags

Tags for a swap on http://papercraft-magic.forumotion.com

Requirements were that we had to use Tim Holtz #8 tags and have 2-3 embellishments whether embossing, die cuts, etc.

The foil paper I used is from the Dollar Tree.  The embossing folders are from Crafter's Companion and I used the Gemini die cutting machine to emboss and die cut the snowflakes and Santa.

Christmas in July- Red Vintage Truck

These are watercolor cards using two different red truck stamps.  I don't remember the brand as I took the stamp off the wooden block so I could use my Stamp Perfect stamper.

I used watercolor pencils from Michael's Artist Loft brand and also their watercolor paper.

The card bases and mattings are from The Paper Studio- 12 Days of Christmas Collection.  I'm hoping they bring it back again this year.  The sentiment stamps are from an American Crafts set I got from Tuesday Morning.

Christmas in July- Florida Style

Watercolor cards using stamps from Inkadinkado.  The set is called Warmest Wishes.

Used 90 lb watercolor paper from Michaels, their Artist Loft brand..  The watercolor pencils are also from Michaels' Artist Loft brand.  Used white Stickles for the Santa hats.

The matting and card base are from Michael's Craft Smith Mermaid Coast collection.  It is one of the hot buy pads.

Coloring is very calming . . . ah. . .

Fishing Vest Birthday Card

Birthday card for my Dad.  SVG file for the vest was from Tracee-Jo Kalan.  I found it on the Cricut Primrose website.  The lures, etc. I had from a previous project, the fishing tackle box card from SVG.cuts.com.

Everything was cut with the Cricut Explore.  I used some washi tape at the bottom to give it a more outdoorsy (is that a word?) look.

Father's Day Cards

First card is for my Dad.  The die cut is from one of the FB groups I belong to.  I cut it with my Cricut Explore Air 2.

The black & white  papers are from Recollections 65 lb.

I used a Heidi Swap wood grain background  stamp.  The ink is Memento Tuxedo Black.

The second card is for my son-in-law.

I shopped my stash for this one.  Found some cute papers and used some cut outs as embellishments.

Snow-themed Tag

This is a tag for a snow-themed swap.

Used my Gemini to emboss both the tag itself and the words.  Took a Cuttlebug folder, inked it up and used blue ink inside the folder.  Once the paper was embossed I cut it apart.

Also used snowflakes from the DT and added a little bling.

It's hot & muggy here in S. FL so thinking of snow is a nice break.

Wand Swap

Another new obsession.  Loaded envelopes and wands.

I used Graphic 45 Typography paper.  Wand is 3-layers with eyelash trim, rosette,  dream embellishment coated with Glossy Accents and some metal embellishments.  Tied with a gold mesh ribbon.

Playing With Vinyl
