Altered Pringles Can Halloween Swap

This swap was a lot of fun.

We had to take an empty can of Pringles and alter it with a Halloween theme.  Had to fill it up with Halloween candy or small gifts.

The paper is a mixture from Little Yellow Bicycle and last year's Recollection Halloween papers.

Cricut August Card Swap

For this month's card swap on the Cricut message board we had to create either a back to school, autumn, thank you or birthday cards.   I chose back to school.

I used the following supplies:

Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for the bus
Plantain Schoolbook cartridge for the apples
Graphic 45 stamps (didn't have a name on the package) for the chalk board  2 + 2  image
Alphabet stamps from my stash for the ABC
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder for the green mat
Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Ink for distressing the edges
White gel pen to write on the card
Card stock from my stash for the card and mats.

Father's Day Card for Father-In-Law

A little late . . .

This is a folded/stairstep/z-card whatever you want to call it I made for my Father-in-law who is a BIG mustang fan.  He has one and it is cherry red and beautiful.

I used Teresa Collins paper and Ford stickers from my local scrapbook store.  The "hubcaps" are bottle caps with metal gears glued to them.

He loved it and that's all that matters!

Birthday card for Dad's 75th B-day

My Dad's birthday is July 4th so we combine the two.  This is a pop up box card.  I found the tutorial on You Tube.  There are a lot of them out there.  I used the Awesome Boy collection from Recollections.  The die cuts are from various Cricut cartridges (Pop Up Cards, Holiday Cakes and CTMH).  The stamped image is from CTMH.

I love making these cards.  It's fun to see how much you can cram in on one!

National Scrapbook Day FB Challenge

Had fun on Saturday May 3rd.  Some ladies on FB had an event and it was really fun.  There were 12 challenges and I did 3.  Wanted to do more but life and its duties got in the way.

This challenge you had to create something (card, layout, etc.) with 4 die cuts.  So I created a layout featuring Miss Kylee and some die cuts from one the CTMH Cricut cartridges.  I love it.

For this challenge we had to make something "girly" and what's more girly than a purse?  CTMH Cricut cartridge used, along with a Pearl Pen and a flower from my stash.

This was for the "manly" challenge.  I made a paper bag card and tag using Graphic 45's Good Ol Sport collection.  Love the vintage feel to this collection.

Had a great time.  Hope they do it again next year.

Torn cardboard art project swap

This was another Swap-Bot swap and it took me out of my comfort zone.  It had to be an art project on a piece of torn cardboard.

Used acrylic paint from Michaels to make the background.  I used my Tim Holtz die to cut out the chipboard fence and painted white.  The gnome was fussy cut from some paper in my stash.  The butterflies, birds and birdhouse are 3-D dimensional stickers from my stash.  The paper flowers are some that I made with my CTMH Cricut cartridges.

My swap partner liked it so I'm pleased.  I want to get more comfortable with paints and other media so this is a good start.

Happy Crafting peeps!
